The Post Office Coffee Shop, which is on Main Street, is indescribably charming with its exposed brick walls, hardwood flooring, tables, and chairs. With cozy couches near a big, bright window at the front of the store that looks out onto a busy street, you can enjoy people-watching or reading the newspaper while soaking up the Kinsale sun. The environment is really appealing.
However, the coffee is the true star of the show. For the ideal latte, flat white, or macchiato, The Post Office Coffee Shop uses coffee beans from Cork’s own Soma Coffee Company. The café provides a variety of locally produced delicacies, including protein balls from Two More Powerballs, tray bakes from Wazzy Woo, and nibbles from The Kabin, for those who are seeking for a fast snack.
Tuesday through Sunday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., is the Post Office Coffee Shop’s operating hours.

The courtyard is absolutely stunning. It has a roof and is surrounded by plants. We enjoyed a pot of tea outside on an overcast day. We felt very comfortable staying to read a book. The espresso and coffee drinks looked amazing. Great seats inside in the window. – Stephen H
Post House is great. The coffee is great. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I had a peanut power ball with an Americano to start the day, and both were perfect. I love the ambiance too. It’s on a little side street with big windows, wood floors a brick wall on one end, plenty of light, and a mixture of soft chairs, tables, and then a counter at one window. Big outside patio as well.
