A former airline pilot who was one of the founders of the renowned aviation bar Hi-Flyerz Aviation Bar in Johannesburg has opened The Flying Poet in Kinsale, Ireland. Enjoy a beverage and some food while browsing our aircraft artifacts or reading a book. Menus for breakfast and lunch are offered.
Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and a glass of wine with friends are all welcome at the café. From 10:00 to 17:00 on Monday through Sunday, it is open. The Healthy Pilot, Famous Eggs in a Glass, and the Flying Poet are among popular items on the menu.
Glide in for a warm coffee and a bite to eat.

A delightful spot to stop for an afternoon treat! The espresso was lovely, the brownie was delicious and the atmosphere and staff were welcoming and quaint. A complete 5-star delight! – Susan H
Charming & cozy atmosphere despite the small space. Although not an aviation fan I can really enjoy the decor, lots of interesting things to look at. The staff are welcoming and nice. Chai latte was yummy and the brownie I had here was probably the best one I’ve had in Ireland thus far. Sweet chili chicken toastie is a 10/10. I have yet to try the book exchange experience but I see some nice ones on the shelves. – Leah S
