In 1864, The Harp & Shamrock bar, which is now the OHK Café, was founded. In the O’Herlihy family home, sisters Sarah and Carol have built a charming little breakfast bar.
The major attractions of the simple morning and noon menu are the abundant local ingredients, the powerful, delicious coffee, and the lively Kinsale area.
The establishment serves breakfast; strong coffee, eggs, toast and damn good pastry.

O’Herlihys Kinsale | OHK Cafe Reviews:
This place came highly recommended to us by our Airbnb host and it sure did not disappoint. This is a small cozy place that requires one to reserve a table in advance. The food is exceptional !!! The fact that they source high-quality ingredients locally is very clearly reflected in the taste and freshness of every dish. Coffee, hot chocolate, and the giant chocolate cookie are a must-try too. Can’t wait to visit again. – Shrutika V
Honestly exceptional coffee, so rich and velvety. This place is the spark of Kinsale. Friendly staff, quaint spot, and scrumptious scran. Deffs worth a visit. – Percy
I just had a delicious Smorgasbord lunch today with an Earl Grey tea and it was just delicious. This is a very small, quant, alternative little cafe/restaurant with a small but very interesting and I do have to say, absolutely delicious menu. Will definitely be back and will highly recommend it. – Truffle L
High-quality tasty food. The halloumi and smoked salmon with dill are delicious. The coffee is fantastically intense and the raspberry and pistachio cheesecake is a must. – Faruk B
I really enjoyed the scrambled egg and chorizo dish, followed by the chocolate brownie (perfectly sized, intense flavor, with bites of chocolate inside) and delicious decaf coffee last Friday. A real and rare treat for a fastidious pregnant lady. It was the nicest decaf coffee I’ve ever heard of. Yes, you could tell it didn’t have the caffeine, but the flavors weren’t compromised at all. Thank you for having such a high standard. – Joanne H
Excellent place for brunch, my friend an I had a great time! The staff was so friendly and the food was really good. Definitely coming back! – Angèle A
