Address: 3 Ranelagh, Dublin, D06 C1P8
The newest coffee haven in Ranelagh, Project Black Espresso combines the appeal of traditional architecture with contemporary design and is conveniently located only a few feet from the Luas station. The café’s traditional red-brick frontage gives way to a modern interior with a focus on contemporary design. An sleek and understated black and white color scheme is complemented by marble and wood accents to provide a visual experience that is just as enlightening as the flavors that await within.
Each visitor is welcomed into a world where the craft of coffee brewing and the refinement of design intersect thanks to the high ceilings and light, spacious area. Even if the café is small and is better suited for a brief visit than a lengthy one, the experience is nonetheless rewarding.
The quality and flavorful Two Square Coffee is proudly served by Project Black Espresso. A flat white made with Guatemalan beans and masterfully served by the legendary @BartoszBarista was my personal testimonial to the café’s superior coffee quality. It was a nice combination of a little zing and sweet undertones.
The cuisine is a celebration of handcrafted culinary creativity, despite its conciseness. Visitors may choose from a variety of sandwiches, each made with a tasteful combination of quality, fresh ingredients. Fresh croissants and scones are displayed on the food counter, and the addition of Bear Lemon delights brings a sweet note to the gastronomic symphony.

Lovely little coffee place. It is more a coffee-to-go place, they only have like 3-4 seats inside. Coffee is delicious. It’s from 250 square coffee roasters. – Steven
Great quality of espresso-based coffee drinks! Would highly recommend it, if you like a good latte or cappuccino! And they have oat mill, which is always a plus! – Mihai
Incredible hidden gem – pretty much just a window with coffee. But yum, the americano must have been the tastiest I’ve ever had! Definitely will be back ❤️ – Katerina
Hands down the best coffee in Ranelagh and the vibes are pristine. – James
