Alchemy Coffee and Bookstore Reviews:
A little piece of perfection on Barrack Street. Good, responsibly sourced coffee, soft drinks, genuinely home-made pastry and savory snacks including omnivore and vegan, a range of cakes and biscuits. Books and chess sets available on the shelves! – Adamkeyclassics
Stopped in for a cup of americano and a place to study for a couple of hours. It was perfect! A great cup of coffee, WiFi available, a comfortable setting (there was some music playing fyi), and friendly service. Didn’t eat any of the menu items, but they all looked very good. Plenty of pastries and what looked like some hot food offerings as well. I would recommend it to anyone in the area. I’ll definitely be back. – Kevin M
Very nice coffee shop and a great addition to the area. Nice coffee and provides non-dairy options like oat and almond. Has a great selection of treats freshly made. Offers vegetarian options. Has indoor and outdoor seating and is dog friendly. The staff is very nice, and would recommend it for a coffee spot. – Grace M
Great spot for coffee or tea to relax and read a book or newspaper. Very chic and hipster, the coffee is excellent and so are the bakes and sandwiches. Highly recommended. – Alain R
Has the feel of a nice bustling cafe and the coffee is amazing as is the range of food and snacks, never feels uncomfortable being there, and is super pleasant even when it’s quiet. A frequent visitor, thank you, alchemy crew. – Thomas C
