In September 1982, ‘Poppies Tea Rooms’ opened for business, and legend has it the owners chose the name Poppies after they visited poppies cottages in Bali. Since then, it has become a favourite destination for those who love tasty & wholesome country cooking.
In May 2000, Peter Norton acquired the business and for the last 20 years he has developed and enhanced Poppies further with additional elements including a Take Home Menu and Environmentally Friendly Systems. We look forward to welcoming you to our coffee shop😊.
Our extensive menu includes breakfast, scones and jam for mid-morning, and a complete selection of main courses served throughout the day with either salad or baked jacket potatoes. We also provide a variety of drinks, confections, and delectable home-baked desserts.
We hope you like the new salads and main meals at Poppies in addition to our standard daily dishes and takeout menu. These takeout menus are an intriguing new business endeavor for Poppies and were created especially for customers who like to eat out rather than prepare food.

Hazelnut vanilla latte is top. Also their chicken Caesar sandwich is great to grab with 3 salads served as side. Also note that’s its self service, meaning that you order your food at the cashier. Pet friendly we had our dog stay calmly inside. – Mohamed M
