Address: 6 Dominick St Upper, Galway, H91 A2TT
A little refuge in Salthill called Kali Coffee Bar is dedicated to coffee and the environment.
A phrase that perfectly expresses the fun, mischief, feeling of devilment, and sense of community of Galway is PLÁMÁS, which means “to flatter” in Gaeilge. On Dominick Street, a newly opened coffee shop and retail establishment with the same name aims to represent all that makes The City of the Tribes unique.
The coffee supplied at PLÁMÁS is called Compass, and it is roasted in Tuam by Geometry Coffee. It has the ideal ratio of bitter, smooth, and sweet flavors for an invigorating cup. Additionally, there is a gallery area where local artisans and artists may showcase their creations. The Galway Photography Project’s beautiful prints of our favorite locations are available here, along with streetwear made locally by Story Tailors, books on and inspired by Galway, the ideal presents for the Galway enthusiast in your life, and much, much more.

Plámás Reviews:
Randomly walked into this place a few months back and now I don’t leave Westend without dropping in here. Such nice coffee. Such nice barista — always the best recommendations and the best conversations ☺️. Extra grateful for one day when I wasn’t feeling great and the kind man made me a nice comforting mocha, chatted up with me and I walked out feeling so much better. Thank you for those little gestures. That’s what always brings me here. I wish they had more space but not complaining at all. – Harshita
Best coffee shop I have been to in Ireland. The service is great. The flat whites were beautiful and the tuna sandwich was potentially the nicest sandwich I’ve ever had…. HIGHLY recommend 💚. – Alan
This is the friendliest coffee shop I’ve ever been to!! I came here on a study abroad for 2 weeks, and the barista talked to us for an hour from what a proper flat white is to all the best restaurants and pubs are in Galway. The atmosphere is chill and homey and there are books, chocolate, and pottery all written or made by local Irish businesses. I’ve never had a better experience – or better espresso – and I will definitely be back before leaving Ireland!!! – Sreya
This is the best coffee shop I’ve ever been to! The barista was so nice and gave us a ton of recommendations on where to eat and go in Galway, and even in Dublin. I’ve never had such a friendly interaction with a complete stranger before! The atmosphere in the coffee shop was also extremely friendly and casual, and we had random conversations with a bunch of guests that came in 🙂 I definitely recommend Plámás to anyone who is in Galway! Already planning to come back soon!! – Jessie
Amazing coffee, great attention taken in the prep .. and the brownie was fantastic, chewy / pecan-y / chocolatey goodness! Will return. – Edell
Really cool spot with great coffee and local suppliers. I love how they give a 10c discount if you order in Irish, it’s a great way to get people into trying the language. Definitely check this place out if you’re in Galway! – Dan
